“Behind the Groove: The Harlem Edition” brings authentic dance culture back to the forefront and back to the place where it all began, the streets. In this outdoor event legendary DJ’s take to the street to pay homage to Funk, House, Hip Hop and rare grooves, while providing a space for dancers, both young and old, to exchange ideas. Multigenerational DJ’s such as DP One, Flawless, and KS 360 play along with live paintings and performances by local artists (who have already committed to the vision) to bring visibility to our local legends, inspire young talent and uplift the multigenerational NYC dance community, which was heavily impacted by Covid.
