Douglas Says is a Newark-born fashion designer, stylist, author, and makeup artist known for expressive stretch-fabric evening wear and decades of work with ballroom and LGBTQ+ communities. Since the 1970s, his independent practice has dressed celebrated performers and models while preserving an important legacy of Black queer fashion, creativity, and community.
